Unfortunately, the Michigan football program did not escape fall camp unscathed in the injury department.

However, all things considered, the Wolverines are still relatively healthy, as a few pieces on the roster are working their way back into playing shape.
Entering the season-opener against New Mexico, U-M head coach Sherrone Moore met with the media on Monday to give an update on his program coming out of fall camp as the team looks ahead to Saturday.
Moore was asked about the biggest loss of camp, freshman offensive lineman Andrew Babalola who was having a strong camp.
He confirmed that Babalola will be lost for the season with a knee injury.
“He had a knee injury, and he’ll have surgery, season-ending knee injury,” Moore said. “So praying for him. He’s in good spirits, though, and that’s what we’re worried about. So he’s in good spirits, and we’ll take care of him, and he’ll come out stronger than ever.”
Elsewhere on the team, safety Rod Moore and tight end Hogan Hansen have been working their way back from injury and appear to be projecting in the right direction to eventually return to the field.
Moore confirmed that both have been practicing with the program, he and the medical staff are not in a rush to get them both back on the field.
“We’ll see,” Moore said when asked if both will play in the opener. “They’re trending really well. Both of those guys are. So, Hogan’s practicing, Rod’s practicing, but we’re not going to rush if we don’t need to. Make sure to take it on their time and the doctor’s time. But they’re both in a good place, so we’ll see.”
Fresno State transfer Mikey Keene has been mostly unavailable during camp with an undisclosed injury, with many expecting him to slot into the backup quarterback role.
Like the others, it appears that Keene is also on the right track to be back with the team on a full-go basis.
“Yeah, he’s working back, and he’s looked better the past couple days,” Moore said. “So, we’ll see how he looks today.”
