Here’s a look at how the Wolverines did this week.

Nov. 21

Highlights:

Who: No. 1 UConn

Where: Mohegan Sun Arena (Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase)

Score: Michigan loses 82-79

Leading Scorer: Syla Swords (29)

Of Note: A slow start was the difference in this one, as the Wolverines erased a 20-point first-quarter deficit to take the number-one program in the country to the brink, drawing within a point with 13 seconds left in the game, but couldn’t get the job done despite a heroic effort by Syla Swords, who led the way with a team-high 29 points.

Nov. 23

Highlights:

Who: Syracuse

Where: Mohegan Sun Arena (Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase)

Score: Michigan wins 81-55

Leading Scorer: Te’Yala Delfosse

Of Note: Michigan bounced back in a big way in the second game of the Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase, as the bench led the way for the Wolverines, scoring 42 points in a rout over Syracuse.

The Wolverines will remain on the road for their lone game of the week, but won’t have to travel far, as they travel to Detroit to take on Detroit Mercy on Nov. 26. Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. and currently has no TV or streaming designation.
