Michigan came out of its season-opening victory over New Mexico on Saturday relatively healthy, but had a handful of players who were expected to contribute being held out of the game of note.

Speaking with reporters on Monday, head coach Sherrone Moore was asked about the status of a number of players, including offensive lineman Andrew Sprague, who was spotted limping after the game on Saturday.
Fortunately, it appears to be good news on that front.
“He was just cramping,” Moore said. “So a little cramp, but he’s fine. Sprague is phenomenal, I love Sprague.”
Elsewhere, tight end Hogan Hansen’s name did not appear on the injury report the Wolverines released pregame and was seen in street clothes during pregame warmups.
Hansen’s name not appearing on the report wasn’t a fluke, as Moore remains optimistic that Hansen could return to action as soon as this weekend.
“Feel like Hogan’s probable,” Moore said. “Feel like we got a real good shot for him to play this weekend. So excited to get him back. We’ll get him practicing full speed again. And he’s been practicing full speed, getting contact, doing things. So, but we’ve been very cautious with all that. We don’t want to, you know, I’m not a doctor like I always say. So I let them handle that. But he’s been doing everything and feel like we got a great shot to get him to play this week.”
For Rod Moore, he continues to trend in the right direction and Moore, as well as the medical staff, remain cautious as to not bring him back too quickly.
Slowly but surely, Moore will return to the field this season. Whether that happens on Saturday remains unclear.
“Rod is, you know, I’d say questionable, possible,” Moore said. “We’ll see how he feels.”
