Eliah Drinkwitz & Mizzou players meet with media after Mississippi State win
Mizzou coach Eliah Drinkwitz, and four Tiger players met with media after Missouri beat Mississippi State on Senior Night.
Here are the full videos of Drinkwitz, Chris McClellan, Marvin Burks, Matt Zollers and Ahmad Hardy.
Eliah Drinkwitz
“All week we talked about, ‘Brothers are born for adversity,'” Drinkwitz said. “It’s been a rough couple of weeks. And for our team and our brotherhood to stand strong, stand resilient in the face of adversity. Really, really proud of the senior class. Proud of those 20 men.”
“We challenged them all week, we needed two turnovers,” Drinkwitz said. “And they got two turnovers for touchdowns. So, really, really proud of the defense.”
Chris McClellan
“You can stay in college for four years and be a senior, but to earn your rock, you’ve got to have everybody on the field there with you,” McClellan said. “I just want to give a shoutout to all my younger teammates, the lower class men for helping us get the job done tonight.”
Marvin Burks
“I just feel like it was a great week of preparation,” Burks said. “The guys were dialed in, the coaches were dialed in.”
“Once I saw the ball, I was just really hoping I don’t drop it,” Burks said.
Matt Zollers
“The main point of emphasis all week was to get me in a rhythm early,” Zollers said. “And I feel like we did that. And that was definitely helpful throughout the game.”
“Pre snap I kind of knew if they jumped offsides, I was gonna go to Donovan (Olugbode),” Zollers said. “Just, one-on-one, I have a lot of confidence in him to go up and get it.”
Ahmad Hardy
“Probably the 72-yard run when I hit my PR, I hit 21 miles per hour,” Hardy said of his favorite run.
“We just gotta keep working no matter who it is,” Hardy said. “We ran the ball great, we just did what we did and we stuck to it.”
