Eliah Drinkwitz, Mizzou players speak after beating Arkansas
Mizzou coach Eliah Drinkwitz as well as running back Ahmad Hardy, defensive tackle Chris McClellan, linebacker Josiah Trotter and receiver Kevin Coleman all spoke with media after the Tigers beat Arkansas 31-17.
Here are the full videos of all five.
Eliah Drinkwitz
“Really, really proud of our guys today,” Drinkwitz said. “The way they fought, obviously, had some really serious, self-inflicted wounds, gave them 10 points. And at halftime, just the way our guys (were) calm, cool, collected. The coaching staff knowing exactly what we needed to do. Really proud of the way all three phases responded.”
Ahmad Hardy
“I don’t even know,” Hardy said of how many players were on him during his long touchdown run. “I was running it. Then I recognized he was pulling me down. I was like, ‘I can’t let him turn my Achilles,’ so I tried to run a little harder, then I broke it.”
Chris McClellan
“Just to see the excitement in the locker room, with the cigars and everybody hooting and hollering, it’s always good,” McClellan said.
“We left some out there, obviously with some of the opportunities, but we did everything we could with what we had. And we never quit. We were never not in the fight in every game we were in,” McClellan said.
Josiah Trotter
“We just went out there and executed the game plan,” Trotter said.
“They had two different game plans for two different QBs,” Trotter said. “Both of them are really good at different things within their game. We’re trying to adjust with whoever’s coming in and who’s going off. But we had a great game plan for both guys.”
Kevin Coleman
“That was the first one of my career,” Coleman said. “I got one on kick return, but not punt return.”
