Tigers in the NFL: Luther Burden III helps Bears get over .500 mark

Chicago came out of the bye week with a chance to claw back over .500.
As Caleb Williams threw for 252 yards, the second-year quarterback favored one Missouri product in the Bears’ 25-24 victory over Washington on Monday. He targeted former Tigers pass-catcher Luther Burden III four times, with one pass resulting in a long of 37 yards for the rookie wide receiver.
Burden reeled in a career-high four passes for 51 yards. It marked the second-most yards in a single contest for the former five-star. On the season, Burden has totaled 150 yards on 11 receptions with one touchdown, which came Week 3 against Dallas.
On the topic of 2023 Missouri standouts, Cody Schrader signed back to the Jacksonville active roster Wednesday after being released two days prior. The running back was listed inactive Sunday.
Bolton, D-Line Zou & other Tigers
With Kansas City reaching .500 on the season, Nick Bolton contributed seven tackles, which tied for the second most on his team Sunday. The Chiefs linebacker tallied only three solo stops, but he also registered one tackle for loss and one quarterback hit. Green Bay linebacker Ty’Ron Hopper tallied one tackle — his third of the season — in a win over Cleveland.
Arizona ruled out former first-rounder Darius Robinson for a second consecutive week. The defensive lineman suffered a chest injury in Week 4. In four games this season, the Missouri product has logged five total tackles — four solo — and one sack.
Third-year Cleveland defensive end Isaiah McGuire recorded one tackle in the Browns’ fifth loss of the season. The former fourth-rounder has totaled seven tackles and one sack in six games. San Francisco defensive tackle Jordan Elliot picked up three total tackles in a 30-19 loss to Tampa Bay.
While running back Tyler Badie was a healthy scratch for the first time this season, Denver saw another Missouri product contribute. Second-year cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine collected one tackle in the Broncos’ third-straight win.
