Mizzou drops to No. 19 in AP Poll

After dropping a road matchup 17-10 to Vanderbilt, the Missouri Tigers have slipped four spots in the AP Poll.
With the loss, Mizzou fell from No. 15 to No. 19.
Mizzou also fell in the Coaches Poll, dropping from No. 14 to No. 20.
Missouri opened the season receiving votes in the AP Poll and slowly climbed each week until the Tigers suffered their first defeat.
Mizzou entered the rankings at No. 25 after Week 2, then rose to No. 23 after Week 3 and No. 20 after Week 4. Missouri climbed to No. 19 after Week 5, then jumped to No. 14 after a bye week with many highly ranked teams suffering surprise losses.
After losing to now-No. 4 Alabama, the Tigers dropped two spots to No. 16, but climbed up one spot after beating Auburn on the road.
Following a loss to now-No. 9 Vanderbilt, Mizzou fell for the second time this season.
The top 10 remained essentially the same after an undefeated week by the top-ranked teams.
With four games left of the schedule, the Tigers have two ranked teams left to play.
After a bye week, Mizzou will host No. 3 Texas A&M. Then a few weeks later, the Tigers will face No. 18 Oklahoma.
This week was one of the calmer weeks for the AP Poll. There weren’t any major changes.
The biggest risers of the week were Cincinnati and Michigan, both rising four spots.
The biggest fall of the week was Oklahoma, dropping five spots.
There were no changes in the top 6.
