Mizzou legacy Ridge Janes cracks first Rivals100 for 2028 class

Only one Missouri prospect, Ridge Janes, made the initial Rivals100 ranking for the Class of 2028 on Monday, and his father played for the Tigers.
Janes, a four-star at St. Louis (Mo.) De Smet, landed on the list at No. 92 as the four No. 4-ranked tight end. Visiting Missouri five times during his freshman season, he will return to campus Sept. 6 with his father, Ron “Rhino” Janes, for his first Border War.
“He talks about that rivalry a lot when he brings up a couple of games that he’s been in,” the younger Janes said in July. “So I’m super excited to see what the atmosphere is like. I go to some of the Mizzou games, and I hear their chant where it’s F-KU. I can already feel the rivalry there, so I can’t even imagine what it’s gonna be like on Saturday.”
Janes will enter his sophomore season at De Smet this fall with a state title already under his belt. The tight end became a key blocker for the Spartans’ postseason run, taking down Nixa (Mo.) High in December on Faurot Field.
“It really teared me up,” Janes’ father said. “He didn’t know any different. He’s just playing ball. He’s just young kid. But to me, it was very special.”
Four-star wideout Baron Marshall also made the ranking at No. 67. The younger brother of Tigers defensive tackle Jalen Marshall, the Overland Park (Kans.) Blue Valley Northwest product looks to visit Missouri again this fall.
Other Tigers target also debuted on the list: WR A’Mir Sears (No. 4), WR Braylon Clark (No. 16), TE Jack McNamara (No. 90) and IOL Carter Barrett (No. 97).
