Mizzou players speak ahead of Homecoming

Missouri receiver Marquis Johnson, safety Daylan Carnell, right tackle Keagen Trost and linebacker Josiah Trotter met with media Tuesday ahead of the Tigers’ Homecoming matchup with UMass.
Here are full videos of all four Mizzou players.
Marquis Johnson
“Teams are scared,” Johnson said. “Teams are really scared, teams are scared of our running game more than anything. If you see me on the sideline, or see me running a route or blocking for them, I’m talking to the defender. Defender begging me to get someone to go tackle them.”
Daylan Carnell
“Some of the guys high are being greedy with their eyes, trying to rob things low, that’s really not their job,” Carnell said. “Just trying to really do things that really are not their play. So getting that cleaned up. We talked about it yesterday, and Sunday. So, it’ll get cleaned up.”
Keagen Trost
“I think every week you got to continue to get better,” Trost said. “Because if you get beat on something one week, teams can do it the next week and try to get you the same way. So we do a lot of blitz pick up and just really getting on the same page, communicating if you see something, to make sure the whole line’s on the same page.”
Josiah Trotter
“I feel like there’s a lot of communication in the back end,” Trotter said. “Where we have to make sure we communicate with them, being on the same page, but also making sure, once we’re on the same page as everyone executing. It works like a string. If we’re not in the right spot, then maybe they see something that could take them out of where they should be. So just being on the string. It works like a puzzle piece. So making sure everyone’s in the right spot. Executing their jobs in the best way and getting to their landmarks.”
