After walking away from Jordan-Hare Stadium with a 23-17 double-overtime win, the Missouri Tigers have started to climb in the AP Poll once again.

Beating Auburn has brought the Tigers from No. 16 to No. 15.

Mizzou also rose from No. 16 to No. 14 in the Coaches Poll, jumping back to the spot Mizzou held before losing to Alabama.

Missouri opened the season receiving votes in the AP Poll and slowly climbed each week until the Tigers suffered their first defeat.

Mizzou entered the rankings at No. 25 after Week 2, then rose to No. 23 after Week 3 and No. 20 after Week 4. The Tigers continued to climb to No. 19 after Week 5 and jumped all the way to No. 14 after a bye week with multiple highly ranked teams suffering surprising defeats.

The Tigers then dropped their first game of the season to now-No. 4 Alabama, dropping Mizzou two spots to No. 16.

Along with the Tigers, Mizzou’s next opponent, Vanderbilt, saw a rise. The Commodores beat now-No. 20 LSU at home Saturday and jumped from No. 17 to No. 10, leaping past Mizzou, which struggled to beat unranked Auburn on the road.

A number of teams suffered big falls this week.

The headline was previously-No. 2 Miami, which lost to unranked Louisville on Friday. The loss dropped Miami to No. 9.

Previously-No. 5 Ole Miss lost to then-No. 9 Georgia and dropped to No. 8. In turn, Georgia rose to No. 5.

The biggest fall of the week was LSU dropping 10 spots.

The biggest rise of the week was Vanderbilt rising seven spots.

With five games left in the regular season, Mizzou is set to face No. 10 Vanderbilt, No. 3 Texas A&M and No. 13 Oklahoma.
