Match notes
It was the first time Mizzou had ever faced either Drury or Maryville on the mat.
Five Tigers made their first appearance in the Hearnes Center: Masud, Harris, Mayfield, Sinclair and Bates.
Sunday was the start of what Mizzou plans to have as a consistent event on the schedule as the Tigers’ schedule didn’t begin with the Black and Gold Scrimmage for the first time since 2010-11.
Mizzou will host the Tiger Style Invite next Sunday, which will also be in the Hearnes Center instead of Kansas City. The event will start at 10 a.m.
