Rivals300 WR Matthew Gregory hears from Mizzou, Jacob Peeler weekly

When Missouri offered Matthew Gregory in February, it put itself in prime position for a wideout familiar with its quarterback future.
Gregory played against Class of 2025 signee Matt Zollers his first two years of high school. One year younger than Gavin Sidwar, Gregory, a junior at Pottstown (Pa.) Owen J Roberts, also regularly crossed paths with the Class of 2026 commit.
“Gavin’s one of my guys,” Gregory said.
With that familiarity, it made sense for the Tigers’ Pennsylvania recruiter, assistant offensive line coach Jack Abercrombie, to offer the wideout earlier this offseason. Abercrombie has reached out a few times, but wide receivers coach Jacob Peeler has picked up more recent communication.
“He probably texts me three times a week, just checking in and making sure I’m okay,” said Gregory, the No. 4 receiver in the 2027 class.
Gregory, a 6-foot-2, 175-pound pass-catcher, locked in an unofficial visit to Penn State for the White Out game Sept. 27. He will sit down with his mother this week to look into other fall trips.
“If they keep showing interest, they keep in touch with me, I’ll definitely try to make it out for a game out there,” Gregory said of Missouri. “Just keep trying to build a relationship with them, make sure I’m comfortable.”
Gregory totaled 1,100 all-purpose yards during his sophomore season. The wideout reeled in 850 yards and 13 touchdowns on 48 catches. He also displayed his speed with a personal-best 10.46 seconds in the 100-meter dash.
