The MizzouToday Show: Penn State analyst discusses Pribula, Zollers + Mizzou recruiting Pennsylvania
Kyle McAreavy and Kenny Van Doren are joined Blue White Illustrated recruiting analyst Ryan Snyder to discuss Beau Pribula, Matt Zollers, Gavin Sidwar and Missouri’s presence in recruiting Pennsylvania. The guys also provide the latest around the Tigers’ quarterback situation during the bye week and other injury updates on this week’s MizzouToday Show.
Pribula’s recruitment
“I don’t know anyone who’s met Beau Pribula and doesn’t love Beau Pribula,” Snyder said. “… Beau’s junior year was awesome, really, really impressive. … I remember thinking then, Penn State didn’t get lucky, they knew who he was, but it wasn’t the finished product yet.”
“They didn’t want Beau to transfer, that’s why they were using him in all those different sets and things,” Snyder said. “… This is a guy who absolutely prepares to be the starter every week, prepares to be impacting that game one way or another.”
Zollers’ recruitment
“I’ll never forget watching a guy who I didn’t really know who he was at camp,” Snyder said. “And then I came to learn he put up some crazy numbers. … I don’t know if I’ve ever watched a more-entertaining quarterback game in my life.”
“I sent all the film to our scouts at On3 and sure enough, a month later, he was in the top 300,” Snyder said.
Sidwar’s recruitment
“Sidwar, Penn State didn’t really persue him much, they were interested,” Snyder said. “… I did see Gavin at a couple of camps and the arm talent is certainly there.”
Injury updates
“Beau suffered a dislocated ankle, but with no broken bones,” McAreavy said. “… There is a non-zero chance that Beau could be back by the end of the regular season. … Because of the point of the season we’re at, that’s not incredibly likely at this point.”
“Brett Norfleet separated his shoulder and is day-to-day,” McAreavy said.
