The Week that Was in Mizzou athletics: June 30-July 6

Once again, it’s been a big week for Mizzou athletics. Here is a recap of what we didn’t cover, with links to what we did.
Football
Kenny opened the week with a story about QB commit Gavin Sidwar’s final OT7 event, then he added a story about Braylon Ellison committing and another about Ellison continuing a Mizzou legacy.
I wrote a story about Beau Pribula and what he brings to Mizzou, then I added a story about my conversation with Clark Brooks on how the Tiger portal additions fit into the scheme the Tigers like to use in the run game, then Kenny wrote about what Missouri is getting with 2026 interior offensive lineman Brandon Anderson.
I continued my series looking at the best wins of the Eliah Drinkwitz era in Columbia with No. 4, then wrote about Ahmad Hardy being ready to run wild.
Then, I went through my conversation with Clark Brooks about how the Tiger portal additions will add to the Missouri passing game.
Kenny added a story about Jabari Brady putting rankings aside, then I continued my look through historic Border War matchups with a glance at 1944.
Kenny then wrote about 2026 safety Tony Forney’s commitment to Mizzou. And he added a story about how the Tigers could fill out the class of 2026.
I finished the week with a look at the Tiger defensive tackle depth chart, then Kenny finished up with a story about Derek Nicholson rekindling his relationship with 2028 recruit Braylon Clark.
Men’s Basketball
I continued my look into the best wins of the Dennis Gates era in Columbia with No. 4.
Kenny wrote about what the Tigers are getting with 2027 commit Scottie Adkinson, then added a look at 2029 in-state forward Bronx Ganaway. He then added another on Adkinson playing with an aggressive mentality.
I added a look at the Summer League schedule for the former Tigers trying to make NBA rosters.
Men’s Golf
The Tigers added a Division II champion transfer with Bradley Mulder, who helped Colorado Christian University win the 2024 NCAA DII Championship.
“Bradley brings great experience to our program,” coach Glen Millican said. “He possess the characteristics we look for in Mizzou golf and has competed at the highest level the past two seasons. A strong student with great work ethic, Sean and I are looking forward to helping Bradley succeed at Mizzou and are excited to add him to our program.”
You can talk about this story in the story thread.
