With so much focus on football, it’s easy for other Mizzou sports to fall through the cracks. Here’s a look at everything we didn’t cover in Mizzou sports last week.

Volleyball

The Tigers opened the week with a five-set survival against Southeast Missouri State on Wednesday. The Tigers won 25-18, 20-25, 25-23, 17-25, 15-8.

The win ended the Tigers’ non-conference schedule with a record of 9-3.

Caylen Alexander recorded career kill No. 1,500 as she piled up 15 to lead the Tigers. Marina Crownover recorded 25 assists, while Nina Mandovic added 21.

Zoey Matias-Lopez had a team-high 21 digs, while Maya Sands ended with 19.

In her first start of the year, freshman Tia Phinezy had six kills and three blocks.

Mizzou then beat South Carolina 25-23, 24-26, 25-19, 25-23 on Friday.

Sands posted a career-high 32 digs, while Alexander had a team-high 24 kills. Tyrah Ariail, Regan Haith and Kimani Johnson each had four blocks.

Crownover totaled 34 assists and four digs, while Matias-Lopez had nine digs.

Mizzou finished the week with a 25-22, 22-25, 25-14, 26-24 win against Georgia on Sunday.

The win marks five consecutive SEC wins for the Tigers who are working to climb their way back up in conference contention after starting 1-4.

Alexander led the Tigers with 22 kills, while Ariail had 12 kills and five blocks.

Sands had 23 digs, while Hatih led Mizzou with six blocks.

Crownover recorded her ninth double-double of the season with 47 assists and 11 digs.

Missouri (15-7, 6-4) has started popping back into bracketology predictions with five regular-season matchups left.

The Tigers will hit the road to face Tennessee on Friday, then will play at Vanderbilt on Sunday.

Soccer

The Tigers concluded the season with a 1-1 tie at Auburn on Sunday.

Mizzou ends the year with a record of 4-10-3, 1-7-2 SEC. Only the top 12 teams in the SEC standings make the conference tournament. The Tigers ended 15th.

Mizzou coach Stefanie Golan’s contract is set to expire on Dec. 31.

Auburn took the lead with a goal in the 20th minute and held the lead into the final minutes.

But Hailey Chambliss scored her third goal of the season in the 83rd minute. McKenna Moran was credited with her third assist of the year on a corner kick.

Riley Wilkerson recorded nine saves in net for the Tigers. It was Wilkerson’s second start.

Gymnastics

Sophomore Kaia Tanskanen represented Finland at the 53rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia.

She placed 15th overall in the all-around with a score of 51.266. There were 24 all-around competitors.

Tanskanen was one of only two gymnastics from women’s NCAA programs to qualify for the all-around final along with Florida’s Leanne Wong.

Tanskanen scored a 13.266 on the floor exercise, a 13.100 on vault, a 12.400 on uneven bars and a 12.500 on balance beam.
