2A Game Preview: East Wilkes at Starmount

One of the top games in the state and certainly in the 2A classification will take place in Boonville (NC) as the Starmount Rams will host the East Wilkes Cardinals.

Both teams are coming off a great 2024 season where both advanced to the third round of the state playoffs. The Rams and Cardinals are expected to be in the hunt for a conference and state championship implications.

The Rams won an exciting 35-21 battle last year in Boonville and this year should be another classic. The winner would be the favorite to take the Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A Conference championship.
