Here are the NCPreps’ Teams of the Week for Week 4 in the western regions of North Carolina.

REGION 5: CARVER YELLOW JACKETS

The Yellow Jackets improve to 4-0 after defeating College Prep & Leadership Academy 44-0.

REGION 6: MALLARD CREEK MAVERICKS

In a battle between two big-time teams in Charlotte, the Mavericks (3-1) held off the Mustangs by a score of 20-13.

REGION 7: DAVIE COUNTY WAR EAGLES

The War Eagles (2-2) upset the No. 7 team in 5A Oak Grove in a thrilling 27-26 overtime win.

REGION 8: SWAIN COUNTY MAROON DEVILS

The Maroon Devils (2-2) had a huge upset win over No. 2 in 3A Mountain Heritage by the score of 16-14.
