De La Salle Shuts Out Serra

The De La Salle defense has yet to allow a point through two games this season following a 26-0 win at Serra (Lakeland’s score came on a fumble recovery). The Spartans scored on the game’s opening drive with a touchdown run from sophomore Jamal Johnson-Lucas, but waited until just before the end of the half on a keeper by quarterback Brayden Knight for a 12-0 lead. Knight added a second touchdown before a well designed draw play resulted in a 70 yard score from senior Brady Smith.
