Twelve Bridges' Colton Hogge commits to Nevada Football

Twelve Bridges 2026 offensive lineman Colton Hogge committed to Nevada on June 24. The NCP Top 50 prospect also held an offer from Eastern Washington, Sacramento State and Northern Arizona. What kind of player is headed to Reno?
“Nevada is an incredible legacy program,” Hogge said. “That’s huge especially with the complete overhaul they had under coach (Jeff) Choate. The culture is going to be a hugh part of how they are going to be running things.”
As a junior, Hogge made the All-Metro team by the Sacramento Bee and will become the first player from Twelve Bridges football to sign with a Division I program out of high school later this year.
“I feel like that’s huge because I think I’ve contributed to every step we have taken since my freshman year,” Hogge said.
Twelve Bridges made the section finals in 2023 and then won section and NorCal titles in 2024 as one of the newest schools in the region.
Hogge stands out among offensive linemen
The 6-foot-4, 280 pound Hogge lined up at left tackle for the Ragin’ Rhinos in his third year of starting for one of the up and coming programs in the Sac-Joaquin Section. He gets off the ball well and stands up defenders on the first contact. In the run game, he is adept at pulling into the middle and picking up the key block. In pass protection, he does a good job of setting the edge and guiding the rusher around his quarterback to form a big pocket. Hogge likely ends up at guard, but has position versatility to fill in at multiple spots on the line.
He also plays some defense at Twelve Bridges and does a good job of penetrating the backfield and stopping the flow of the action.
This offseason, Hogge has been working on his speed and agility and adding muscle for a more lean frame, he said.
Nevada continues to do work in NorCal
Nevada has prioritized recruiting Northern California under multiple staffs and it is evident in the early goings of the 2026 class. Currently in the fold with Hogge is Rocklin quarterback Reeve Slone, Folsom wide receiver Isaiah Williams and Valley Christian-San Jose Terrence Johnson. Hogge has a connection to many of the players in this class and at Nevada, including Slone who he trains with.
Nevada football went 3-10 in the first year under Jeff Choate, but six of the losses came by one possession.
