With the AAU summer circuit in the books, Illinois basketball is lining up official visits for prospects in the class of 2026. Three top 40 players are set to visit Champaign next month.

The first visitor, as previously reported, is four-star small forward Cameron Holmes, who will be on campus the weekend of September 12. Next up, four-star guards Lucas Morillo and Jasiah Jervis will both take official visits to Illinois the weekend of September 26.

Illinois currently holds two commitments in the 2026 class — three-star guard Ethan Brown and three-star forward Landon Davis. With multiple upperclassmen expected to depart after the 2025–26 season, the Illini could bring in as many as seven newcomers in next year’s recruiting class, giving Holmes a real opportunity to be a foundational piece in the next wave of talent.

CAMERON HOLMES, SF, GOODYEAR (AZ) MILLENIUM

One of the nation’s top Class of 2026 basketball prospects, Cameron Holmes will take an official visit to Illinois as part of a busy fall recruiting schedule.

The 6-foot-6 wing from Millennium High School in Arizona is ranked No. 30 overall in the Rivals Industry rankings and is widely considered one of the perimeter prospects in the junior class. Cameron Holmes will visit Illinois basketball on September 12, marking the first of six scheduled official visits that also include North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, Gonzaga, and Arizona.

Holmes is coming off a strong summer with Arizona Unity on the Nike EYBL Circuit, where he averaged 11.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game while shooting nearly 47.5% from the field over 19 games. He earned national recognition with appearances at both the NBA Top 100 Camp and the USA Basketball U17 training camp.

LUCAS MORILLO, PG, BOSTON (MA) THE NEWMAN SCHOOL

Illinois is gaining some traction with Morillo, who took a leap in the latest rankings and is now the No. 32 prospect overall in the class according to Rivals and the No. 6 point guard. The Illini could be looking to close on Morillo during his visit.

Morillo cemented himself this summer as one of the most coveted recruits in the class of 2026, adding a wave of new offers. His summer included a strong showing at the NBPA Top 100 Camp where averaged 8.2 points, 6.8 rebound and 3.4 assists per game.

The 6-foot-6 rising lead guard is also a top priority for Marquette and the Golden Eagles hosted him for an official visit in June. Other offers include Stanford, Georgetown, Creighton, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Washington, Xavier, Boston College, UCLA, Virginia, Ole Miss, Minnesota, and Villanova.

Morillo has represented the Dominican Republic in three FIBA events the last two years. Those ties could favor Illinois. Assistant coach Orlando Antigua is a Dominican native and is still highly-engaged with the international scene.

JASIAH JERVIS, SG, BRONX (NY) ARCHBISHOP STEPINAK

Jervis was one of the top stock risers in the class this summer. Illinois offered back in March and he now holds nearly 30 offers. He has official visits on tap to NC State and Michigan State. The Illini locked in a visit and have made up some ground in the recruitment.

Jervis excels at all three levels offensively. He is viewed as a complete two-way wing with a versatile attack. He is mostly a shooting guard now, but is working to improve his lead guard skills and has the potential to be a combo down the road.

No. 23 nationally in the Rivals rankings, Jervis also holds offers from Rutgers, Seton Hall, Maryland, Oregon, Virginia Tech, Michigan, Cal, Wake Forest, Villanova, and others. He checks in at No. 47 in the Rivals Industry rankings.
