The Atlantic 10 Conference has released the men’s basketball slate allowing Duquesne to complete its schedule.

It features three nationally televised games, all on the USA Network.

After a couple of home games to conclude non-conference play, the Dukes will open A-10 play against Davidson on Dec. 30. It will be the fourth time in the last five seasons that Duquesne will play its A-10 opener away from the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.

Duquesne’s contest versus the Wildcats begins a stretch of eight games which will alternate between road and home. Were the Dukes to emerge victorious, it would mark the first time since Jan. 8, 2022, that they would win their first conference road game.

Jan. 3 is Duquesne’s conference home opener which will be against one of the conference favorites, VCU, a contest carried by USA Network.

The Dukes will face Saint Joseph’s on the road Jan. 7 and host Dayton Jan. 13. Duquesne’s Jan. 17 road game at Fordham will be televised by USA Network.

Duquesne will again alternate when it hosts Saint Louis Jan. 20, followed by being at Loyola Chicago Jan. 24. A home meeting Jan. 28 with St. Bonaventure rounds out the first portion of the schedule.

A Feb. 1 face off against Rhode Island represents the final trio of USA Network televised games and also serves as the only time that Duquesne will have consecutive home tilts.

Feb. 4 sees Duquesne traveling to face George Mason, only to return back home Feb. 7 against George Washington.

Following a week off, the Dukes will be at St. Bonaventure Feb. 14, host La Salle Feb. 18 and at Dayton Feb. 21.

The Dayton contest is the first of five consecutive against repeat opponents to conclude the regular season, as Feb. 25 is a home game against Davidson, Feb. 28 at Saint Louis, Mar. 4 is at Rhode Island and Mar. 7 wraps up play against Richmond.

Times were not yet finalized at the time of the schedule being announced.

This year is the A-10’s 50th anniversary and both Tuesday’s men’s and women’s media day and the men’s conference championship will be held at PPG Paints Arena.

Five of the conference’s first six A-10 championships were held at the Civic Arena.

Tuesday will reveal the preseason polls and all-conference teams as voted upon by media and each of the 14 head coaches.

This season will serve as Dru Joyce III’s second season as the program’s head coach. He returns two starters in Cam Crawford and Jakub Necas.

In a transfer-heavy era, Duquesne returns roughly 59% of its points and 50.1% of its rebounds.
