Duquesne to Host Another Top Recruit

Dru Joyce and the Duquesne basketball program continue to attract talented recruits to campus.
Blake Smith from Recruits Zone is reporting that 2026 point guard Donovan Williams Jr. has scheduled an official visit to Duquesne.
According to the report, here’s what Williams has planned for the next couple of months:
*Texas State (September 19-20)
*Duquesne (September 25-28)
*George Mason (October 10-12)
*Florida State (October 17-19)
This news comes on the heels of Williams receiving an in-home visit from Duquesne assistant coach Chase Goldstein last week.

On3Sports rates Williams as one of the Top 30 point guards in the Class of 2026 and holds offers from Arizona State, Illinois, West Virginia, Michigan, South Florida, Central Florida, Jacksonville and Toledo.

The 6-foot-3 guard has transferred back to Florida for his senior season. After starting out in Florida at The First Academy, Williams spent his sophomore and junior years at Oak Hill Academy. However, Williams is headed back to Oak Ridge High School in Orlando to finish his high school career.
During his sophomore season, Williams averaged 16.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game.
The timing of this visit is interesting as Duquesne is also scheduled to host another top recruit that same weekend.
Maryland 2026 4-star forward Shane Pendergrass has also scheduled an official visit to Duquesne from September 25-27. The Duquesne staff made a visit to see Pendergrass on September 4th.
Pendergrass has scheduled visits with his final 6 schools:
George Mason: September 5th-7th
Louisianna Tech: September 12th-14th
LaSalle: September 20th-22nd
Duquesne- September 25th-27th
California- October 3rd/5th
Boise State- October 17th-19th
