ESPN GameDay Predictions for Backyard Brawl

The time for talk is over with as gameday has arrived for the latest edition of the Backyard Brawl between Pitt and West Virginia in Morgantown.
Pitt enters today’s game with a record of 2-0 with wins over Duquesne and Central Michigan, while West Virginia is 1-1 and coming off a disappointing loss to Ohio University.
At the start of the week, oddsmakers had this game with Pitt being a 2.5-point favorite but the point spread has jumped to 7.5.

As they closed out their GameDay broadcast from Knoxville, Tennessee, the ESPN crew of Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Nick Saban, Pat McAfee and guest picker Candice Parker made their predictions.
Three of the four predictions went in Pitt’s favor, and it comes as no surprise who selected West Virginia to win.
In terms of their reasoning, Howard and Herbstreit hinted that they would’ve selected West Virginia if not for their injuries. Saban and Parker just believe Pitt is the better team. As far as McAfee well you know his reasoning.

Kickoff from Morgantown on ESPN will take place at 3:30 PM.
