Frank Walker Law Recruiting Notebook: Pitt PWO Offers to Local Players
Over the last couple days, Pat Narduzzi and the Pitt staff have extended PWO offers to a few WPIAL players.
This is fairly routine as Pitt attempts to lure in local talent with walk-on opportunities that down the road could possibly turn into scholarship offers.
Here are the players that received these opportunities along with some other WPIAL football recruiting news.
*Cayden Parker– Seneca Valley linebacker/edge rusher. Parker (6’3″, 225-pounds) was a three-time 6A All-Conference player. Parker also has a PWO opportunity from Vanderbilt.
*Josh Banks– Hollidaysburg safety/linebacker. Banks (6’1″, 205-pounds) was a 5A First-Team All-State player. Banks made a gameday visit to Pitt for their game against NC State.
*Central Catholic 2027 4-star OT Jimmy Kalis heard from a couple major SEC programs over the last couple of days. First, Kalis received an offer from Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers. Then, Kalis was re-offered by the new coaching staff at Auburn. Kalis will be one of the top 2 WPIAL prospects in the Class of 2027.
*Central Catholic 2027 athlete Jordan Ray has picked up an offer from Brown University. Ray (6’0″, 190-pounds) received his first D-1 offer last month from Eastern Michigan.
*Speaking of Eastern Michigan, they extended an offer on Thursday to 2027 defensive tackle Dajour Webb from Pine-Richland High School. Webb (6’2″, 315-pounds) also holds offers from Kent State, Howard, Hampton and Youngstown State.
