Get Ready For Pitt vs. Notre Dame; Live Game Thread

PITTSBURGH — It’s officially game day on the North Shore of Pittsburgh as the 22nd-ranked Pitt Panthers will take on No. 9 Notre Dame.
Both the Panthers and Fighting Irish are 7-2 with Notre Dame riding a seven-game win streak after losing its first two games of the season to Miami and Texas A&M.
Pitt is on a five-game win streak and coming off a bye week. Freshman quarterback Mason Heintschel is set to make his sixth start of his collegiate career. Running back Desmond Reid returns from injury for Saturday’s matchup.
Pitt fans have flocked to the College GameDay set outside Acrisure Stadium, which will go live on ESPN from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Pitt will also honor Panther great Aaron Donald with a jersey retirement ceremony at half time, along with commemorating running back Tony Dorsett’s 303-yard rushing performance against the Fighting Irish back in 1975.
Pitt-Notre Dame will kick off approximately at 12:07 on ABC with Joe Tessitore (play-by-play), Jesse Palmer (analyst) and Katie George (reporter) on the call. Bill Hillgrove (play-by-play), Pat Bostick (analyst) and Larry Richert (sideline) will be on the call for 93.7 The Fan.
The Panthers are 12.5-points underdogs, according to Bet MGM.
