Pitt and WPIAL Football Recruiting News

It’s time to get your caught up on some recent Pitt and WPIAL football recruiting news as new offers have been extended.

The Panthers coaching staff has been fairly quiet in terms of extending new offers, but a few went out over the last few days.

*Bryce Breeden: 2027 3-star linebacker from Bridge City, Texas. Breeden has a long list of Power 4 offers that include Houston, Baylor, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, TCU, Arizona State, Arizona, Kansas, Utah and Kansas State. Breeden received the offers from Pitt defensive coordinator Randy Bates.

*Cade Haug: 2027 3-star linebacker from Houston, Texas. Haug (6’2″, 210-pounds) has other offers from Kansas State, UTEP, Houston, Nebraska, Arizona, Toledo, UNLV, Arizona State and Utah.

*Ja’Marlon Mooring: 2027 running back from College Station, Texas. Mooring (5’11”, 190) received the news from Jacob Bronowski and this becomes Mooring’s first Power 4 offer.

*Archie Collins Jr: 2029 defensive back from Montour High School received an offer on Wednesday from Charlotte. This talented freshman has also received offers from UNLV, Akron, Georgia State and Miami of Ohio.

*Zachary Gleason: 2027 cornerback from Central Catholic High School picked up an offer last night from Michigan State. Gleason’s offer list continues to grow as he also holds Power 4 offers from Pitt, West Virginia, California, Rutgers, Syracuse, SMU, Indiana, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin and North Carolina. Gleason will be making a GameDay visit this weekend to North Carolina.

*Pine-Richland 2027 4-star defensive back Jay Timmons, who’s committed to Florida State, will be at Florida State this weekend for their big matchup against Miami, Fla.
