PITTSBURGH — Pitt football will be without two starters Saturday when it takes on Central Michigan.

Tight end Jake Overman and cornerback Rashad Battle were in street clothes during warmups and will be inactive for the Central Michigan matchup.

Battle, a redshirt senior, was spotted with a cast on his right hand. Battle has dealt with injuries throughout his Pitt career, which included sitting out the entire 2023 season. Last week against Duquesne, Battle recorded two tackles and a pass breakup.

Overman played in all 13 games a year ago after transferring in from Oregon State with 17 receptions for 160 yards and a touchdown on the year. Against Duquesne, he registered one reception for three yards.

Here are the rest of Pitt football’s inactives against Duquesne:

– DE Jaeden Moore

– DE Denim Cook

– LB Davin Brewton

– RB Caleb Williams

– LB Jayden Bonsu (out for season)

– LB Jeremiah Marcelin (out for season)

– RB Synkwan Smith (out longterm)

– RB Jaylin Brown (out longterm)
