Pitt Finalizes 2026 Opponents, Nine-Game ACC Slate
Pitt will indeed move to a nine-game ACC slate in 2026 as the program finalized its schedule for next season.
Along with the eight previously announced conference games, the Panthers will play their ninth contest against the California Golden Bears on the road, the program announced Tuesday.
Pitt will play four conference home games: Florida State, Georgia Tech, North Carolina and Syracuse.
The Panthers will have five road contests: Boston College, Cal, Louisville, Miami (FL) and Virginia Tech.
The ACC will release the full conference schedule with dates and times in late January.
Back in September, the ACC announced the move to nine conference games, joining the rest of the Power Four leagues in doing so. While some teams will jump to nine league games next season, the ACC will officially move 16 of its 17 members to nine conference games in 2027.

Along with nine conference games, the ACC requires teams to play a 10th Power Four team in the nonconference slate.
Pitt will fulfill that requirement against the Big 12’s UCF Knights at Acrisure Stadium on Sept. 12. With the reshuffling of the nonconference slate, Pitt and Wisconsin mutually canceled its nonconference matchup next season, but will face each other in Dublin, Ireland during the 2027 season.
The Panthers will complete their 2026 nonconference slate with home games against Miami (OH) on Sept. 5 and Bucknell on Sept. 26.
