While nothing has formally been announced by the program, it appears as though the Pitt football program has made some changes to their front office.

According to their Twitter profile, Graham Wilbert and Adam Cultury have been promoted to Pitt football general manager and assistant general manager, respectively.

Prior to this news, former Pitt Panther, Buffalo Bills General Manager and Upper St. Clair native Doug Whaley was thought to be the programs general manager. Once again, nothing had ever been formally announced by Pitt.

Both Wilbert and Cultury have been long-time, valuable members of the Pitt football program.

Wilbert is entering his 9th year at Pitt, previously serving as the Director of Player Personnel. In that role, he was a major figure and face of Pitt recruiting and has earned a well-earned national reputation for his ability to evaluate talent.

Before arriving at Pitt, Wilbert was a member of Florida Atlantic’s football staff, serving as their Director of Player Personnel and External Relations. Wilbert also played quarterback at Florida Atlantic, where he was a two-year starter and was one of the most productive passers in school history.

Caltury has been with Pitt for seven years, most recently serving as Pitt’s Director of Recruiting.

Caltury graduated from Monaca High School in 2008 and since then has built a solid resume in college football. From 2016-18, Caltury worked in the Rutgers football department (director of player personnel in 2018 and recruiting director from 2016-17). Prior to that, he was with Ohio State in 2014 and 2015.

Before getting into recruiting, Caltury was a high school assistant coach at Monaca (2008-09) before joining Mark Lyon’s staff at Central Valley (2010-13), where he coached former Pitt standout Jordan Whitehead.

With this new age of college football, Wilbert and Caltury will be key behind the scenes figures in the future of Pitt football recruiting.
