Pitt Injury Report: Initial Player Availability Released vs. BC

It is two nights before Pitt takes on Boston College, which means the initial availability report for Saturday’s contest.

Pitt has seven players listed as questionable with star running back Desmond Reid headlining the list.

Defensive end Zach Crothers, safety Javon McIntyre, cornerback Tamon Lynum, defensive end Blaine Spires, cornerback Rashan Murray and long snapper Nilay Upadhyayula are all listed as questionable.

Crothers, McIntyre, Spires and Upadhyayula all began the Louisville game healthy, but were banged up as the game progressed.

As for Reid, he missed the entirety of the Louisville game with an ankle injury that he sustained in the first quarter against West Virginia.

Lynum missed his second full game last week after suffering an injury against Central Michigan. Murray also did not play against Louisville.

The lone addition to the out portion of the initial report is left guard Keith Gouveia, who will miss the remainder of the season with a lower leg injury.

Out for Boston College: WR Jaedn Skeete, WR Johnathan Montague Jr., LB Jaylen Blackwell, DB Syair Torrence, DL Quintayvious Hutchins, DB Marcelous Townsend, DB Amari Jackson, WR Will Graves III, TE Danny Edgehille.

Questionable for Boston College: LB Daveon Crouch, DB Max Tucker, LB Bryce Steele, DB Isaiah Farris, LB Palaie Faoa, DL Sterling Sanders, DL Kwan Williams, DT Owen Stoudmire.

Probable for Boston College: RB Jordan McDonald, OL Jude Bowry, OL Michael Crounse, WR Dawson Pough.

ACC Availability Report Details

The availability report will only contain information regarding the student athlete’s name and availability status. Nothing pertaining specific injuries will be reported.

Football teams are required to release three availability reports prior to a game. The initial report will come out two nights before the game, no later than 8:00 p.m. local time. The second report will be provided the night before the game, no later than 8:00 p.m. local time where the game will be played.

A game day report will then be required no later than two hours before the scheduled game time.

Specific status designations are as follows:

— Available (available to play)

— Probable (likely to play/greater than 50% chance to play)

— Questionable (uncertain to play / less than 50% chance to play)

— Out (will not play / 0% chance to play)
