Pitt Picks Up Flip Commitment From 2026 Three-Star Edge Rusher

Monday marks one month until Early National Signing Day for college football programs and the Pitt 2026 class got one player stronger with a flip commitment.
Pat Narduzzi and the Panthers landed Virginia Tech commit Joshua Pittman out of King’s Fork High School in Suffolk, Va. Pitt is recruiting the 6-foot-3, 225-pound Pittman to play defensive end.
Pitt recently hosted Pittman — a three-star prospect and the 62nd-ranked linebacker, according to Rivals — on an official visit for the NC State game.

Like many athletes impacted by the chaos of the in-season coaching firings, Pittman started fielding additional interest after Virginia Tech moved on from head coach Brent Pry. Pittman committed to the Hokies as a linebacker prospect back on April 14, 2025.
Along with Pitt, Pittman received interest from NC State and USF, where he also took an official visit in October.
At the time of his commitment to Virginia Tech, he also held Power Four offers from North Carolina, Indiana, Wake Forest, Michigan State, Syracuse, West Virginia, Duke and Pitt, who offered on March 12.
Pitt now has four defensive line commits in 2026 with with defensive end Reston Lehman, defensive tackle Lincoln Hoke and Logan Nagle, who could slot in at either end or inside.
Pittman plays as a standup edge rusher for the King’s Fork Bulldogs, a team that currently stands 8-1. Pittman showcases strong acceleration off the edge and is a physical disruptor in the backfield.
