Postgame Reaction: Heintschel, Cooper, Hicks Talk Pitt Win vs. NC State
PITTSBURGH — It was a historic performance for quarterback Mason Heintschel and personal win for center Lyndon Cooper as Pitt defeated NC State Saturday 53-34.
Heintschel broke the Pitt freshman single-game passing mark with 423 yards, while Cooper bolstered Pitt’s offensive line against his former school in NC State as the Panthers did not give up a sack.
Wide receiver Cataurus Hicks led Pitt’s receiving corps with 120 yards, to go along with four receptions and an 84-yard touchdown reception.
