Report: Desmond Reid to Play vs. Miami
Some surprising injury news this morning, as ESPN’s Pete Thamel reports that Pitt senior running back Desmond Reid to play this afternoon against Miami.
Reid re-injured his ankle two weeks ago against Notre Dame and missed last week’s game at Georgia Tech.
Considering the problems he’s had with that ankle and the way in which he left the field against Notre Dame, the chances of him returning before the end of the season looked slim.
However, Reid will attempt to give it a go in his last game at Acrisure Stadium and against his hometown team.
Although he’ll be dressed for the game, his exact work load is not known and not expected to be heavy.
Freshman running back Ja’Kyrian Turner, coming off a 201 yard rushing performance against Georgia Tech, is expected to receive the bulk of carries.
