The PSN/Frank Walker Recruiting Notebook
With one week left in the regular season, recruiting will pick up and we have a few new offers from Pitt and to WPIAL players in the PSN Recruiting Notebook.
Keep in mind, National Signing Day will take place on December 3rd, followed by a second signing period in February.
Wrapped around that will be junior days that are very important for the players in the Class of 2027.
PITT FOOTBALL OFFERS:
*X’Zavier Cannon– 2028 wide receiver from Warner Robins, Georgia. Cannon received the offer on Saturday from Archie Collins. Cannon has received other offers from Florida Atlantic, South Florida, Tennessee and Wake Forest. Cannon finished his sophomore season with 57 receptions for 1,026 yards and 8 touchdowns.
*Gary Walker– 2027 running back from Fairburn, Georgia. Walker (6’1″, 200) received the offer from Archie Collins. Walker also holds offers from Florida State, Duke, Kansas State, Stanford, Liberty, Memphis, Toledo and Boston College.
*Shavezz Dixon– 2027 3-star offensive guard from Leesburg, Georgia. Dixon got the news from Archie Collins. Currently, Dixon is committed to Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss. In addition to Pitt, Dixon (6’4″, 320-pounds) has received offers from Georgia Tech, Texas A&M, South Florida, Arkansas, Memphis and Central Florida.
*Speaking of Ole Miss, Lane Kiffin’s program recently extended offers from Central Catholic 2027 3-star defensive back Zachary Gleason and Imani Christian 2027 4-star athlete Gabriel Jenkins.
*Two other local offers to report on as the Toledo Rockets have extended offers from Ringgold 2027 athlete Demetri Lowe and Central Catholic 2028 quarterback Owen Herrick. Lowe (6’3″, 180-pounds) received the offer while making an unofficial visit. Herrick has also picked up offers from Liberty and Syracuse.
