PITTSBURGH — Pitt football has turned its attention towards No. 25 Florida State after the Panthers rebounded Saturday against Boston College.

Running backs coach Lindsey Lamar spoke Tuesday about his unit’s performance against the Eagles, in which it ran for 172 yards on 43 carries for a four yard average.

Lamar talked about the growth of his young running backs — redshirt freshman Juelz Goff and true freshman Ja’Kyrian Turner — in place of Desmond Reid, who has been dealing with an ankle injury.

Turner also spoke with the media about his first four games of his collegiate career.

Along with Turner and Lamar, tight end Justin Holmes also discussed his play as a blocker and rallying around freshman quarterback Mason Heintschel.
