UCF-UNC to air on FOX

The Bounce House will be back on the national stage in two weeks.
UCF’s home game against North Carolina, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 20, has been selected for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff on FOX.
The Knights (2-0), coming off a 68-7 rout of North Carolina A&T, are on a bye this weekend, while the Tar Heels (1-1) host FCS opponent Richmond.
There was early buzz UCF could be in the mix to host Big Noon Kickoff, FOX’s on-site pregame show, but that seems less likely given FOX’s decision to air Texas Tech-Utah for their Big Noon Saturday marquee game.
It’s not without precedent though – UCF hosted the show for the first time last September when Colorado came to town, which set Big Noon Kickoff attendance records, despite the game being scheduled for a mid-afternoon kick. Big Noon Kickoff selections are typically announced a week in advance.
The UCF-UNC matchup features two of the biggest coaching storylines in college football.
UCF is led by Scott Frost, who returned to Orlando this offseason for a second stint as Knights head coach. On the other sideline is a legend making his college debut season: Bill Belichick. The longtime New England Patriots head coach, regarded by many as one of the greatest coaches of all time, is in his first year leading North Carolina. Belichick’s résumé includes a record six Super Bowl championships as a head coach and two more as a defensive coordinator.
UNC dropped its opener 48-14 to TCU but rebounded this past weekend with a 20-3 win at Charlotte.
