UCF lists three players out, four questionable vs. K-State

UCF’s first ever official injury report was issued late Wednesday night.
Beginning in 2025, the Big 12 joins the ACC, Big Ten and SEC in requiring football programs to issue player availability reports for conference games, mirroring the NFL’s injury report format.
Teams must release daily updates starting three days before each game, with a final report due 90 minutes before kickoff.
Players will be classified as “probable,” “questionable,” “doubtful” or “out.” Anyone not listed will be considered available to play.
UCF listed three players as out:
- DB Isaiah Reed
- DB Jayden Williams
- Edge Josh Dorsainvil
The most significant name here is safety Jayden Williams, a starter who delivered a game-saving stop in the season opener against Jacksonville State. He fractured his thumb in that game which required surgery, and missed the North Carolina A&T game as a result. He returned for North Carolina, playing in 39 snaps, and according to PFF was the highest-graded safety with a 73.1 grade. It’s unclear if Williams re-aggravated his thumb or suffered a different injury.
Isaiah Reed, a cornerback transfer from Brown, missed the preseason with an undisclosed injury and has not played this season.
Josh Dorsainvil has been primarily a special teams player, registering a tackle in the North Carolina A&T game, and did not play vs. UNC.
Four UCF players were listed as questionable:
- TE Dylan Wade
- DB DJ Bell
- Edge Isaiah Nixon
- OL Connor Meadows
Wade is UCF’s starting tight end and one of its top receivers with nine catches for 101 yards and a touchdown. He suffered a separated shoulder against UNC.
DJ Bell is part of UCF’s primary corner rotation. He played in 27 snaps against UNC.
Isaiah Nixon is a backup defensive end, and played in 17 snaps vs. UNC before departing with an apparent ankle injury.
Connor Meadows, a backup offensive tackle, played in 16 snaps against North Carolina A&T. He did not see action vs. UNC.
As for the Kansas State, the biggest news is who was not listed. Star running back Dylan Edwards, who has been plagued by an ankle injury this season and saw limited action in their last game at Arizona, is expected to play.
