Schedule Notes
- UConn has 15 home games this season (16 if one includes the exhibition against SCSU)
- Eight of those contests will take place at Gampel Pavilion
- The other seven (eight, including the SCSU exhibition) will occur at the PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford
- South Florida and USC are both return games in a home-and-home series that started last year
- UConn starts a home-and-home with Ohio State this season and will travel to Columbus next year
- UConn and Ohio State last met in the Sweet 16 in Seattle in 2023, where the Buckeyes ended the Huskies’ 14-year Final Four streak
- Neither the Armed Forces Classic or last year’s Women’s Champions Classic affect the four-game deal UConn and Louisville have that began during the 2023-24 season
- UConn will go to Louisville next year, host them in 2026-27 and visit them again in 2027-28
- The Invesco QQQ Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase originally had a tournament format
- The Basketball Hall of Fame updated the format for the showcase on July 30. Instead of a tournament, each of the four teams will play two games
- A reason was not provided by the Basketball Hall of Fame as to why the format changed
- As a result, UConn will have first-ever meetings with both Michigan and Utah at Mohegan Sun Arena
- UConn will travel to CareFirst Arena for the third straight season
- CareFirst Arena plays host to the WNBA’s Washington Mystics
- UConn will visit both the Amica Mutual Pavilion and the CHI Health Center for the second consecutive year
- After the Women’s Champions Classic, UConn will have no more than two straight home or road games.
- Most times, they will play two consecutive games in the Nutmeg State and then travel for two more consecutive contests
