How to watch UConn/Ohio State women's hoops; Pregame info

The No. 1 UConn women’s basketball team will celebrate their second banner unveiling against the Ohio State Buckeyes at People’s Bank Arena on Sunday.
WHO: Ohio State Buckeyes vs. UConn Huskies
WHEN: Sunday, noon ET
WHERE: People’s Bank Arena OR Peacock
Previous History:
Over the past 15 years, the two programs have faced off seven times, which dates back to the 2010-2011 season. The last time the two teams clashed was in the 2022-2023 NCAA tournament, when the Buckeyes defeated the Huskies 73-61 in the semifinals of the Seattle 3 Region.
In this matchup, Freshman Cotie McMahon led Ohio with 23 points, five rebounds and two assists. Within 33 minutes, the forward banked six of 13 (46.2%) field goals and drained two of four (50%) shots from beyond the arc.
With the help of Jacy Sheldon and Taylor Thierry, the squad sealed the win. Sheldon dropped 17 points, seven boards and five assists. As for Thierry, the sophomore, at the time, notched 11 points, five rebounds and five assists.
When it comes to Connecticut, the 2022-2023 campaign felt different as Paige Bueckers was not on the court. In Aug. 2022, the veteran tore her ACL, forcing her to the sidelines for the entire 2022-2023 stretch.
Fast forward three years, only three members from the 2022-2023 run remain on UConn’s roster: Azzi Fudd, Caroline Ducharme and Ayanna Patterson.
Since the two programs’ last meeting, neither squad looks the same, which could favor the Huskies, as they own a 6-1 record over the Buckeyes.

Scouting the Huskies:
In Connecticut’s first three victories of the 2025-2026 run, the team has proven its dominance on both sides of the court.
Offensively, trying to block the path of Fudd and Sarah Strong is not an easy challenge. One of UConn’s biggest issues at the moment is shooting from beyond the arc, but the leader, Fudd, continues to produce. In the squad’s win over the Loyola Ramblers, the 23-year-old went two-for-two from deep, which was the most for the Huskies.

As for Strong, some fans could call her the jack of all traits. Currently, the sophomore tops the team with just under 18 points, nearly 7.5 boards, almost 4.5 assists and slightly under 2.5 blocks per game.
One player to watch out for is Blanca Quiñonez. On Wednesday, the forward freshman participated in her first contest while wearing UConn threads and showed potential.
Coming off the bench, Quiñonez splashed one of three (33.3%) from within the arc and buried one of two (50%) attempts from downtown. If the Ecuadorian native can return to scoring 12 points per meeting, like in the exhibition matchups, then Connecticut will have another weapon.
Scouting the Buckeyes:
In Ohio State’s 90-33 victory over the Bellarmine Knights, the guards Jaloni Cambridge and Chance Gray contributed a total of 32 of the Buckeyes’ 90 points. The duo struggled to shoot from long range, but thrived from within the paint.
Collectively, Cambridge and Grey accumulated nine of 14 (64.3%) field goals and converted eight free throws. If UConn can control either player, the Huskies should come out on top.
Fans can tune into the game on Peacock, with tip-off scheduled for noon.
