Three-Star WR Quayd Hendryx decommits from UConn Football
Winslow Township (New Jersey) three-star wide receiver Quayd Hendryx has decommitted from UConn Football and flipped to Minnesota, he announced on Saturday afternoon.
He was pledged to the Huskies since July 4th following an Official Visit to campus in mid June, where he chose UConn Football over the likes of offers from programs as Buffalo, Old Dominion, Southern Miss, Syracuse, Temple and many others.
“After a long and meaningful conversation with my family and coaches,” Hendryx said on Twitter/X. “I’ve decided to change my commitment to the University of Minnesota.”

With the news, Hendryx becomes the fourth prospect to decommit from UConn Football this recruiting cycle joining running back Jayden Fox (UNLV commit), edge rusher Jacquey Ferguson Jr. and cornerback Javion Romer, the latter two remain uncommitted at this time.
This news also leaves the 2026 recruiting class with just one wide receiver in Deion Thomas and 13 total commits. The Huskies 2026 class is currently ranked No. 97 in the country per the Rivals Industry rankings.
