Sarah Strong, Sophomore, Guard, Rank No. 1:

In year one with Connecticut, Strong quickly made a name for herself, as she dominated on both sides of the court. In the 2024-2025 season, the 19-year-old averaged 28.2 minutes, 16.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.6 blocks per game. The North Carolina native banked 53.1% of her shots from the field and knocked down 35.6% of attempts from downtown.

In the 2025 NCAA tournament, Strong’s performance increased as she posted 19 points, 11.7 boards, 4.3 assists, 1.5 steals and two blocks within 32 minutes of action. Coming into the 2025-2026 campaign, the reigning Big East Freshman of the Year was named the Preseason Big East Player of the Year.

Azzi Fudd, Senior, Guard, Rank No. 8:

Throughout Fudd’s time with UConn, several injuries have prevented her from staying on the court. In the 2022-2023 season, the veteran suffered a knee injury, forcing her to miss 22 games. In November of the 2023-2024 run, the 22-year-old sustained a torn ACL. This not only sidelined the guard for the remainder of the campaign but also prevented her from performing at the start of Connecticut’s 2024-2025 stretch.

On Nov. 11, 2024 against the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights, Fudd returned to action and from there on did not disappoint. In the 2024-2025 season, the Virginia native accumulated slightly over 13.5 points, two rebounds and just under two assists per meeting. Last year, Fudd drained 47.4% of her shots from within the paint and buried 43.6% of three-pointers. With the help of her teammates, Fudd becomes the new voice of the program, as former leader of the pack, Paige Bueckers, is gone. Heading into the new year, the senior made the Preseason Women’s Basketball All-Big East team.

Serah Williams, Senior, Forward, Rank No. 18:

From freshman to sophomore year, Williams has consistently improved and increased her production on the court. In her final year with the Wisconsin Badgers, the forward registered a little over 19 points, almost 10 boards and about 2.5 assists per match. The New York native splashed 43.9% of shots from within the arc, converted 8.3% from deep and nailed 78% of free throws. As Williams enters her senior year with UConn, the 21-year-old looks to increase her reliability even more. Alongside Fudd, Williams made the Preseason Women’s Basketball All-Big East team.
