UConn Football RB Cam Edwards set to enter Transfer Portal
UConn Football has taken another Transfer Portal hit ahead of the upcoming offseason, as running back Cam Edwards becomes the latest player to announce his plans to leave, sources tell Hayes Fawcett of One.
The 5-foot-11, 210-pound running back hails from Norwalk, Connecticut and attended Norwalk High School before committing to UConn as a member of the 2022 recruiting class.

In his first year with the program, Edwards redshirted in 2022 as a defensive back, but was moved to running back throughout the middle of the season. He finished his freshman season with one game played and had one carry for two yards.
Edwards would go on to appear in 34 games over the next three seasons and was the main running back for the Huskies in 2025. He led UConn with 199 carries for 1,132 yards and 14 touchdowns on the year.
Edwards will have one year of eligibility remaining to play elsewhere.
