UConn Football reignite old rivalry in matchup with Delaware
After suffering an overtime defeat to Syracuse last week, UConn Football (1-1) will travel south for an intriguing road matchup with the Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens (1-1), who are competing in their first year at the FBS level. The game will be played at Delaware Stadium in Newark, Del., with kickoff set for 3:00 p.m.
The Blue Hens are a storied program, having won six national championships across several NCAA subdivisions. After a 9-2 season last year in the competitive CAA, Delaware looked solid in their first two games—even in their 31-7 loss to Colorado in week two. Though there is a stark contrast between competition at the FCS and FBS levels, their matchup with the Huskies remains an intriguing one nonetheless.
