UConn Football has added another recruit to their 2026 recruiting class, as wide receiver Quayd Hendryx from Burlington Township, New Jersey has made the decision to join the Huskies recruiting class today.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound prospect plays for Burlington Township High School and becomes the 17th commitment of the Huskies’ 2026 class, the third from New Jersey, and the lone receiver in the class so far this cycle.

This past season as a junior, Hendryx did a little bit of everything for his high school program. On the year, he went 1-of-1 passing with a 38-yard completion, he rushed five times for 21 yards, and hauled in 34 receptions for 531 yards and three touchdowns.

Along with all of that, the South Jersey native was also a force on special teams. As a kick returner, he had four returns for 124 yards and one touchdown and on punt return, he finished with 14 returns for 112 yards. Hendryx also served as his team’s primary placekicker for extra points, going 18-of-23 and even handled some kickoffs and punted as well.

Along with football, Hendryx also plays basketball and runs track for Burlington Township High School. On the hardwood, he led his team to a record of 24-6 on the year, while averaging a team-high 17 points per game. As for track, he posted times of 10.61 in the 100-meters, 21.47 in the 200-meters and also runs in the 400-meters as well.

In the end, Hendryx chose the UConn Huskies over 15 other offers from the likes of programs such as Buffalo, Old Dominion, Southern Miss, Syracuse, Temple and many others.
