UConn Football OL Carsten Casady set to enter Transfer Portal
UConn Football has taken another Transfer Portal hit ahead of the upcoming offseason, as offensive lineman Carsten Casady becomes the latest player to announce his plans to leave, sources tell On3.
The 6-foot-7, 300-pound right tackle hails from Rolesville, North Carolina and attended Rolesville High School before committing to UConn as a member of the 2023 class.

After redshirting in year one with the program, Casaday played in nine games as a redshirt freshman in 2024, appearing in nine games and making starts at both center and right guard. He was moved to right tackle in 2025, starting all 12 games and has not given up a single sack since playing.
According to PFF, Casady was ranked the No. 81 overall offensive tackle, and the number three run blocking tackle with a minimum of 200+ snaps on the season. He posted an overall offense grade of 68.7, a run block grade of 72.3 and a pass block grade of a 61.9.
Casady will have two years of eligibility remaining to play elsewhere.
