Between the Bets: Three wagers for Georgia-Alabama

With Georgia and Alabama one day away from kicking off, here are three wagers for the game.
Gunner Stockton O36.5 rushing yards -114
This line is likely based on Stockton’s recent output against Tennessee, when he totaled 38 rushing yards on 13 carries. In college football, sacks count against rushing yards so that’s something to consider.
However, look no further than Alabama’s season-opener against Florida State, when Tommy Castellanos totaled 16 carries for 78 yards and a touchdown. Look for offensive coordinator Mike Bobo to trust the quarterback run game against an Alabama defense that could be a bit vulnerable to it.
Colbie Young O53.5 receiving yards -114
Young went for 76 yards against Austin Peay and totaled 73 yards against Tennessee. Last year against Alabama, Young caught three passes for 57 yards. Young has quickly become one of Stockton’s favorite receivers and he should be targeted quite a bit on Saturday.
Ryan Williams U5.5 receptions -146
Williams caught five passes against Florida State and hauled in the same number against Wisconsin. While Williams caught six passes in last year’s game against Georgia, he has only crossed the 5.5 line one other time in his young college football career. The Bulldogs are likely to devote a lot of attention to Williams based on last year’s output, which keeps his total under 5.5 this week.
Recapping the previous game
This column went 2-1 two weeks ago for the Georgia-Tennessee game. Volunteers receiver Chris Brazzell II cruised to four catches and Stockton easily crossed 21 rushing yards. Oscar Delp, however, caught an 18-yard pass in the first half and never saw the ball again.
Season-to-date: 2-1.
