Aside from regional 7-on-7’s this was our first chance to see Gunner Stockton outside the confines of Friday nights. Stockton is a little different than the other quarterbacks detailed above. The 6-foot, 215-pounder is at his best when he can stress a defense and open up passing lanes by presenting a between-the-tackles run threat. We saw this during the game, where Stockton led a touchdown drive, much in part to his rushing ability. Stockton has a strong arm, but will need to continue improving his feel and nuance as a passer.
