Trinity Episcopal Defeats Benedictine

Trinity Episcopal gave #2 Benedictine their 1st loss in a thrilling 26-21 win. Rivals 4-star Davion Brown had a 96-yard touchdown reception with 42 seconds remaining to give Trinity Episcopal the lead.
Brown added a 5-yard touchdown run in the 1st quarter and a 72-yard touchdown reception in the 2nd quarter to give the Titans a 20-0 lead early in the 2nd quarter.
Benedictine took the ensuing kickoff and drove 65 yards, capped off by a 9-yard touchdown run from Carson Lambert to cut the lead to 20-7 at halftime.
Neither team scored in the 3rd quarter, which included two goal-line stands by the Trinity Episcopal defense.
The 4th quarter seemed like deja vu for the Trinity Episcopal game, when they gave up a big lead in the last meeting against Benedictine in the playoffs.
Lambert threw a perfect pass to JoJo Johnson for a 36-yard touchdown pass, and Benedictine trailed 20-14 with 8:03 remaining. The Cadets forced a 3-and-out, and running back Fred Dolan found the endzone from 24 yards out to give the Cadets a 21-20 lead with 4:02 remaining

Davion Brown made a great kickoff return, but a Titans penalty started the drive at the 44-yard line. Benedictine sopped the Titans but were forced to punt with 1:03 to go. The ball went out of bounds at the Trinity Episcopal 4-yard line, setting up the game-winning touchdown.
The Trinity Episcopal defense made its final goal-line stand despite three pass interference calls in the final 42 seconds.
