2026 DB Makhi Boone commits to West Virginia

West Virginia has added a commitment to the 2026 class with a pledge from Lakewood (Oh.) St. Edward defensive back Makhi Boone.
Boone, 6-foot-0, 175-pounds, received an offer from West Virginia Nov. 6 and then made it to campus for his official visit over the weekend. That was enough to flip his previous pledge to Miami (Oh.).
Cornerbacks coach Rod West served as the lead recruiter for Boone.
Boone becomes the 28th commitment for West Virginia in the 2026 class.
