2027 DB Jack Strother enjoys West Virginia visit

Virginia Beach (Va.) Salem 2027 defensive back Jack Strother came to West Virginia in order to compete and left campus with a good feeling about the school.
Strother, 6-foot-1, 170-pounds, already held offers from Connecticut, East Carolina and Buffalo but the camp gave him a chance to spend more time around the program.
There was already familiarity considering he is originally from Fairmont and lived there until he was nine-years old so naturally it was a neat experience.
“So I love WVU and the Mountaineers,” he said.
Strother was able to work with safeties coach Gabe Franklin and get to know not only him as a person but how he coaches the defensive back spots.
“He was cool with me and got to know a little about me and said he is going to take a look at my film” he said.
The 2027 defensive back is being targeted as either a safety or at the nickel. The feedback that Strother received was that he had a good day at the camp and handled the drill work well.
The gameplan for Strother is to try to make it back to West Virginia for another look at the school as his recruitment continues to develop. He also has visited Clemson, Michigan and Tennessee, along with a long list of other stops throughout his recruitment.
“I’d love to come back,” Strother said of West Virginia.
The former in-state product wants to find a school that builds a genuine connection with him and where he can blossom on and off the field.
